Our client is a global Multinational FMCG company whose regional operations are managed from the Kenya office. The purpose of this role is to maintain timely, accurate and consistent financial records consisting of preparation of financial statements and statutory accounts. You will also review and analyze all general ledger postings and tax returns, ensure that efficient controls and processes are in place by developing and carrying out a comprehensive control matrix and participate in budgeting and performance analysis for all the countries in the region.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Designing and proposing control improvement projects to safeguard against financial risks.
Implementing new reporting requirements, accounting standards and policies.
Coordinating all general ledger reconciliations and ensuring corrective measures are taken.
Managing the Operation Control Assessment and key financial controls and review process for finance function for the region.
Managing treasury back office functions.
Reviewing and signing-off tax returns.
Participating in budget and performance analysis.
Coordinating internal and external audits and ensuring that the issues raised are corrected.
Coordinating Quarterly review of authority schedule.
Approving bank payments online and through manual cheques.
REQUIREMENTS
A degree in finance or Accounts and ACCA/ (CPA – K) qualifications.
Prior experience in Financial Accounting and reporting a must.
People management and team working skills.
Proactive with a high degree of integrity.
Working knowledge of SAP.
