Treasury Insurance Head

Our client is a global Multinational FMCG company whose regional operations are managed from the Kenya office. The purpose of this role is to oversee the day to day Treasury and Insurance operations, acting as the main contact for upcoming Treasury projects. You will be focusing on managing the Liquidity and Foreign exchange requirements for the business.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Financial Accounting
Managing Treasury related journals.
Ensuring accurate treatment for revaluation gains/losses.
Overseeing the quarter end revaluation process and ensuring accounting entries are accurate.

Banking
Administering Day to Day Bank Accounts operations.
Administering Bank related Software.
Responsible for other banking related activities (facilities letter, documentation, director's resolution etc).
Attending to the operational queries from internal stakeholders as well as queries from bank operational teams.

Cash Forecasting
Reviewing weekly cash forecasts while ensuring accuracy of forecasts.
Reviewing actual versus forecasted cash flows to ensure major variations are investigated and escalated where necessary.
Preparing weekly cash forecasts for fund flows denominated in foreign currencies, proposing relevant hedging actions and executing hedges approved by management.
Liaising with the Finance Manager for long term planning of company’s cash flows (inclusive of planning for dividend payouts & loans).

Exposure management
Reviewing exposure reports and monitoring to ensure that exposures are maintained within policy allowable limits.
Ensuring breach in exposures are investigated and escalated.
Ensuring appropriate hedging actions are taken to cover for open exposure.

SAP Masters
Responsible for Exchange rate Masters.
Responsible for Payment SOA.

REQUIREMENTS
Degree in Accounting or Finance with CPA (K)/ ACCA qualifications.
A minimum of 2 - 3 years of relevant experience in Treasury Operations.
Keen interest and Knowledge in Finance/Treasury & Insurance.
Working knowledge of SAP.
Excellent career progression within a global company in a dynamic industry.

High integrity and accountability with good team working skills.
